Backpacking Chilean national missing, desperate search is underway to find him

A desperate search is underway to find Slavko Yasic, who was last seen in the Dundee area, in KwaZulu-Natal, Northern Natal Coast reports.

Slavko (29) was backpacking in South Africa from Chile, mingling with the locals and getting to know their culture.

Pastor Stefan, from Melusi Mission, confirmed that Slavko stayed with them until September 24, when he left to make his way towards Underberg.

He was due to return to Chile on October 10, however, there’s been no trace of him.

He did not show up the airport, nor did he check in.

He’s not been in contact with his family since September 25.

His mother, Patricia Besoaín is worried sick and plans to travel to South Africa in the coming days to help find him as well.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Byron at the Northern Natal Courier on 034 218 2534. Or drop us a Facebook message with details.
