100th parkrun milestone for Annetjie

As Parys parkrun approaches its 3rd birthday in November, local parkrunners are celebrating the significant milestones of 50 and 100 parkruns completed.
This past weekend it was the turn of Parys parkrun’s most beloved participant, Anna Sophia Kruger (75) – affectionately known as Tannie Annetjie – who celebrated her 100th parkrun on Saturday.
Since she started coming to parkrun in July 2015, tannie Annetjie,  has hardly missed a Saturday morning parkrun.
She is well known by the regular parkrunners as she always has a kind word of encouragement for the fast runners at the front, struggling walkers at the back and all the children on the route.
Parys parkrun is one of 116 parkrun loca-tions around South Africa.
Every parkrun course is 5km in distance and events are held every Saturday morning at 08h00.
Participation is free and registered park-runners receive an email after every parkrun that includes their time, the number of park-runs completed, and age category position.
All parkrun events are open to everyone young, old, fast, slow, runners and walkers.
Parys parkrun starts from Mimosa Gardens (entrance at the corner of Kruis and Boom Streets) at 08:00.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start. There is no need to book or register. Just arrive.
